Tobogganing

We will gather by the tiger statue at Jernbanetorget – the square in front of the sentral station, and go tobogganing.

You’ll need a daypass for the metro (Ruter). They can be bought at the ticket kiosks next to the Jernbanetorget square.

There is a restaurant at the top of the hill, so even if you don’t want to go tobagganing, you’re welcome to join and just hang out.

This popular toboggan run starts at Frognerseteren and ends at Midtstuen metro station.

The track is 2,000 metres long, and the elevation drop is 255 metres. One non-stop ride takes 8–10 minutes.

At the end of a run, you can take a 16-minute metro ride back up to the start for another go.

Sled and equipment rental
Riding is free, but sled rental costs 100–150 NOK per day. You can also bring your own sled.
